Paints Dun Right is the home of Smokey Badger McCue, a registered 7 year old APHA grullo tobiano stallion.  He stands 15.1H and is very gentle and quiet.  He is also broken to ride and you'd never know he was a stud by his temperment.  Located in upstate New York just east of Rochester, we are easily accessible from Thruway 90.  We are now offering the opportunity to breed with our well mannered dun paint stallion who has the unique grullo color.

Smokey comes from some great champion bloodlines.  His lineage traces back to names such as Buck McCue Jr., Buck McCue, Kingfisher, Stormy Hancock Two, Sonnys High Life, Sonny Dee Bar, Q Ton Pepsy, Joe Hancock, Leo, Three Bars, Two Eyed Jack, Coy's Bonanza, Man O' War, Commanders Bulls Eye, and many, many more.  His lineage is loaded with 20 foundation greats and 12 AQHA Hall of Fame Stallions, going back numerous times.  A listing of them can be found on the stallion lineage page.  Smokey was bred for brains, speed and cow sense and is listed with the American Paint Horse Association #570,529.                                                                                                    

This will be Smokey's fifth year of breeding.  This past year he sired a beautiful buckskin tobiano colt out of a palomino tobiano.  He has sired numerous foals which included a grullo tobiano colt, a solid grulla filly, a black & white colt, (these three out of black mares), and then a breeding stock bay filly (out of bay overo), and a bay dun colt & sorrel tobiano colt (out of bay tobiano).  More foals include a grulla breeding stock filly (from a minimal white bay), a black & white filly (out of a solid black), a loud sorrel colt (out of a solid black), and a white sorrel overo filly (from a loud bay overo mare).  Pictures showing them can be found on the mares and foals page.
